Sunflower oil is one of the most important vegetable oils, which are of great national economic importance. In cooking, used for frying and for salads. From it produce margarine and cooking fats (by hydrogenation). Sunflower oil is used in the manufacture of canned food, as well as in soap and paint industries. Sunflower oil is a member of various ointments.
Consumers of unrefined crude sunflower oil in the b2b segment — the production of refined and bottled sunflower oil, producers of fat (mayonnaise, margarine, lard-mass, etc.) products, enterprises producing paint and varnish products, enterprises of livestock and poultry.
In the 2007/2008 crop year the world produced 9,87 mln tonnes of sunflower oil. About 60% of sunflower oil in the world is produced in Ukraine.
